• V20 Policy matters: The V20 team is responsible for the management of general policy issues, employment law and collective bargaining agreement issues as well as for job evaluation at DESY. In addition, the team looks after senior scientists and deals with V2-internal and interdepartmental projects and process optimisation

• V21 Personnel support: The V21 team is the first point of contact for supervisors and employees in all HR-related matters, such as hiring, determining pay or allocation to a higher salary group.

• V22 Recruitment: Candidate management, interviews, employer branding The Recruitment team is responsible for holistically supporting the recruiting process, for implementing national and international HR marketing measures, and for supervising the apprentices during their administrative vocational training at DESY.

• V23 HR Controlling: HR controlling, systems and payroll. The team is in charge of payroll accounting for all DESY employees as well as maintaining and continually developing all HR-relevant systems. However, V23 also takes care of year-round HR controlling and regular internal and external reporting, all the way up to the Board of Directors.

• V24 Travel Office: Travel arrangements, travel expenses, relocation expenses, separation allowance, travel expenses for beamtime trips and trips for job interview The DESY travel office is your central partner when you need assistance regarding organization and accounting of business trips and official relocations. V24 will help you to plan your travel connections and to select and book the means of transport (train, flight, car rental, and BahnCard train discount).
