Administrative Advisory Committee (AAC)

In establishing the Administrative Advisory Committee (AAC), DESY aims to enable institutional exchange with other research centres, based on DESY's many years of work in its various scientific and technical departments as supported by the various advisory committees. With the help of the AAC, DESY aims to continually monitor and improve the processes, structures and systems of its administrative infrastructure and, in the interests of strategic management, to ensure quality targets and resource availability are compatible.

Against this background, DESY's directors have formulated the following brief:

  • The advisory committee will advise the directors on basic administrative and infrastructural issues relating to the research centre.
  • The advisory committee will assess the quality and user orientation of administrative and infrastructural services.
  • The advisory committee will promote specialist exchange with other research institutes on administrative and infrastructural issues.
  • Under the management of the Administration division, the administrative advisory committee will as required conduct evaluations of specific issues and service areas.
